Ohio based, Akron Children’s Hospital has an outstanding opportunity for a Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join our growing team!Under the direction of recently appointed Chair, Tarun Bhalla, MD, MBA, this is an opportunity to be part of an innovative, transformative team in the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine and help to deliver the best possible care to the children of Northeast Ohio.Akron Children’s Hospital is the largest pediatric healthcare system in Northeast Ohio, and is ranked among the best children’s hospitals by US News and World Report.

Akron Children’s Hospital is an integrated healthcare delivery system that includes:

•Two free-standing pediatric hospitals
•850+ providers, who manage over 1,000,000 patient visits annually

•Academic appointment at Northeast Ohio Medical University is available and commensurate with experience

The successful candidate will join a well-established team of 15 Pediatric Anesthesiologists and 30 CRNA’s to provide anesthesia and pain management services to tens of thousands of young patients each year.Akron Children’s Hospital’s surgical volume for 2019 was approximately 19,000 cases for all Pediatric Specialties, including, but not limited to, a Level I Burn Center, Neonatal Intensive Care, a Level II Trauma Center, Acute Pain and Cardiac services.

Requirements:The incumbent will be board eligible or board certified in Pediatric Anesthesia, and will have the ability to obtain an active medical license in the state of Ohio.
