Pediatrician Opportunity, Akron Children’s Hospital Pediatrics (ACHP) Portage County

Akron Children's Hospital Pediatrics brings pediatric primary care for babies, children and teens to many northeast Ohio communities through our 29 pediatric offices. Our Akron Children’s Hospital Pediatrics (ACHP) Ravenna office is seeking a full-time BE/BC Pediatrician to join our busy practice in Ravenna, Ohio.There are two busy existing practices that will be merging and moving into a brand new space in late 2019 or early 2020.The 29,500 square-foot Portage County Health Center will include approximately 8,000 square feet for rehab services and physical therapy, including a gym, areas for exercise equipment and an indoor track. The center will include primary care, specialty care, rehabilitation, physical therapy, and maternal fetal medicine.

When the two offices merge there will be a total of 5 pediatricians and 2 certified nurse practitioners. Physicians at this location partner with two other ACHP sites (Streetsboro and Kent) in the community to attend high-risk deliveries and provide nursery rounds at Robinson Memorial Hospital. Call will be shared between all physicians and is approximately 1:6.The after-hours phone calls are screened by our excellent nurse triage phone line which handles more than 90% of the calls.

Our offices follow standard hospital-based policies, while retaining the local culture of each practice.Our physicians enjoy the use of EPIC as a system-wide integrated electronic health record. Our primary care offices are all PCMH certified. The Patient-Centered Medical Home is a model of care that puts patients at the forefront of care.
