Position Summary:

Coordinates Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) integration across multiple settings and sites to improve patient, provider, community, and system outcomes. Leads the department in the advancement of the translation of research into evidence based practice. Identifies potential evidence-based practice projects and facilitates completion. Serves as a consultant and mentor for developing, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based practices. Supports nursing guidelines policy management. Provides education and mentoring to staff on applying evidence-based practice model for practice changes including nurse residency projects. Actively pursues grant funding to promote conduct of evidence-based practice studies. Networks with the healthcare community to create and maintaining partnerships and collaborations for EBP initiatives including student experiences.  


Registered Nurse licensed to practice professional nursing in the State of Ohio. MSN required.  Doctorate in Nursing preferred (DNP, PhD).  Minimum of five (5) years nursing experience required.  Pediatric experience preferred.  Experience in performance improvement, adult education and nursing research, and evidence-based practice.   Skill in developing and implementing effective educational programs designed to assist the staff in building expertise in the EBP, nursing research and translational science methods. Experience in database and internet search methodology. Skill in advanced technical and grant writing. Strong communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and time management skills required. Current Health Care Provider BLS training is required.
