Shift Information: Flex Time

20-24 hours/week, Days, Monday-Thursday (3 days a week). Flexible schedule.

*Could work 4 weekends out of the year.

 

Position Summary

Responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly office environment.  Monitors safe and reliable functioning of office equipment and facility.  Trains and oversees all work of clerical staff in the following areas of functioning: communications (including answering phones, greeting customers, faxing, EMR messaging) medical records maintenance, insurance referral process, insurance eligibility process, point of service registration, charge posting, copayment collection, OTC payment posting,  and end of day balancing and daily deposits. Communicates with other offices, hospital departments and outside agencies.  Researches appointment, scheduling, billing and customer service problems for patients/families. Responsible for provider schedule maintence and templates.  Works with manager to develop systems/procedures to help the office run more efficiently.

 

 

Qualifications: 

High school diploma or equivalent required.  Associate’s degree preferred.  Minimum three (3) years experience with front office medical functions required.  Demonstrated proficiency in the use of word processing, electronic mail, electronic medical record and scheduling software highly preferred.  Proficiency in the English language with excellent use of grammar and spelling. Must have exceptional organizational and telephone skills, the ability to work with and adapt to various personalities at all levels of the organization and the ability to maintain security of corporate activities and confidential personnel actions. Must have the ability to work under stressful conditions in an appropriate and professional manner and be able to prioritize the responsibilities of a busy office.
