Position Description:

 

Assures legal and operational benefit plan compliance with all applicable federal and state laws, regulatory agencies (including JCAHO), and other governing bodies.  Responsible for the creation, review and execution of benefits contracts, business associate agreements, and other agreements to ensure legal compliance and minimization of legal and financial risk to the hospital.

Position Qualifications:

 

Associates Degree in business or a related field required.  Minimum five (5) years experience in Benefits Administration including at least three (3) years of professional analytical experience developing, implementing, and administering health and welfare benefits programs and working knowledge of IRS code Sec 125, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA and Benefit Plan regulations.  Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation desirable, must have strong communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, organizational skills required.  Advanced Microsoft Office skills (EXCEL, PowerPoint, Access, Word).  Familiarity with Infor/Infinium HRIS preferred
