Responsible for performing fluoroscopic procedures under the indirect supervision of the radiologist, following pre-approved guidelines. These guidelines are set by radiologists and reviewed regularly. Exams are performed in the main department, however they could the also be conducted in other areas where fluoroscopy is available.  Performs all tasks involved in the screening and administration of contrast to patients for diagnostic clinical procedures in Fluoro.  Consults with radiologist when appropriate.  Attends conferences to broaden fluoro skills, reduce Fluoro exposure to lower patient dose. performs Diagnostic radiology procedures as needed.

Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.  Minimum of three (3) years Radiologic Technician experience required.  Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.  Must be licensed by the state of Ohio in Radiologic Technology. BLS certification required. Advanced skills in Anatomy and physiology required. Twelve (12) months on-the-job training required.  Strong communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and organizational skills required. 



1.      Could include some travel to outside locations.

2.      When training is complete, fluoro specialist will cover fluoro, other fluoro specialist’s vacation/ FMLA’s and perform general radiology procedures.
