Shift Information: Day Job


Position Description:

  • Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates delivery of patient care on assigned unit and shift. 
  • Provides to individuals and groups, nursing care requiring specialized knowledge judgment and skill derived from the principles of biological physical, behavioral, social and nursing sciences. 
  • Provides direction to the development and evaluation of assigned nursing personnel. 
  • Maintains operational aspects of the patient care unit in collaboration with support services. 
  • Contributes to nursing and Hospital through support of philosophy and objectives, educational and research efforts. 

Qualifications Required:

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, licensed and currently registered as a professional nurse in the State of Ohio
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience in pediatrics with demonstrated management and leadership abilities. 
  • B.S.N. preferred; required by 12/31/18. 
  • All Clinical Coordinators who are not BSN prepared must be actively pursuing and complete a BSN by 2018.
  • Current Health Care Provider BLS training from the American Heart Association is required.
  • PEARS is required for all RNs assigned to general care units.
  • PALS, ACLS, TNCC and/or NRP is required for critical care areas, ED, Surgical Services, Sedation Services, Transitional Care/Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and Transport within one year of hire.
