Shift Information: Day Job
Provide spiritual and emotional support to patients, families and staff of varying denominations and faiths. Develop and lead inter-faith prayer and worship opportunities, memorial services, and rituals as deemed appropriate. Provide spiritual assessment and care plan which addresses age appropriate and developmental specific needs as a member of the interdisciplinary team. Provide education to identified audiences related to the spiritual needs of children and their families. Participate in committees as assigned and may conduct research into the spiritual care of the sick.
Master's degree in theological studies (which includes 72 semester credit hours or 108 quarter credits) from an institution accredited by a member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent from an accredited theological school. Minimum of four (4) units of Clinical Pastoral Education from an accredited center, of which at least three (3) must have an emphasis in pediatric pastoral care or equivalent hospital pediatric experience. This equates to a minimum of one (1) year experience required. Certified or eligible for certification by the Association of Professional Chaplains, National Association of Catholic Chaplains, National Association of Jewish Chaplains, or the College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy. Certification required within two years of hire date. Experience with electronic charting, communication via pager, email, and Voalte preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products preferred
