Shift Information: Full-time, Day Job
Primarily Day Shift Hours (several shifts/week)
Provides clinical Social Work services to patients and their families on the infant unit.
Services include psychosocial assessments, psychosocial interventions, and hospital and community collaboration and referrals to benefit children with acute and chronic illness as well as victims of abuse and neglect.
Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members, and provides consultation to team members regarding patients’ psychosocial needs and necessary interventions.
Collaborates with disability programs, child protective agencies, Care Center, courts, police and community programs.
Supports families in adhering to treatment plans and coping psychosocial stressors and hospitalization.
Documents all activities accurately, promptly and professionally.
Provides coverage to other inpatient services as needed.
Ohio Licensed Social Worker with Master’s Degree in Social Work from accredited Social Work Academic Program.
Prior social work clinical experience with patients with chronic/complex health conditions required.
Previous experience working with children and their families preferred.
Must have strong clinical skills and demonstrated experience with challenging situations especially child abuse/neglect, complex family dynamics and non adherence to treatment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Must work collaboratively with patient care provider and nursing team and have capacity to work as a strong child advocate with community systems.
