Pediatrician Opportunity, Akron Children’s Hospital Pediatrics (ACHP) Green

Akron Children's Hospital Pediatrics brings pediatric primary care for babies, children and teens to many northeast Ohio communities through our 27 pediatric offices. We are seeking a full time BE/BC Pediatrician to join an established office of 6 physicians and 5 nurse practitioners to provide excellent outpatient care to our patients and families. This is a busy existing practice that is well respected in the community. We welcome new graduates or established providers to step into a practice that they can continue to develop and grow.

This practice partners with Summa Barberton Hospital to provide newborn call coverage in the community. Call will be approximately 1:9 shared between physicians with call being one week at a time. Physicians may occasionally be called to attend deliveries to evaluate and mange newborns who present with problems after birth.  No known high risk deliveries are performed at this hospital. Those that present in preterm labor or with high risk complications are quickly transferred to Summa’s main hospital in Akron. After-hours call and Saturday office hours are shared between providers. Calls only reach the physician after being screened by our excellent after-hours nurse triage phone line which handles more than 90% of the calls.

Our offices follow standard hospital-based policies, while retaining the local culture of each practice.  Our physicians enjoy the use of EPIC as a system-wide integrated electronic health record. Our primary care offices are all PCMH certified. The Patient-Centered Medical Home is a model of care that puts patients at the forefront of care. PCMHs build better relationships between people and their clinical care teams. Research shows that they improve quality, the patient experience and staff satisfaction, while reducing health care costs.

This opportunity offers:

·         Attractive guaranteed base salary

·         Starting Bonus paid upon receiving medical staff privileges

·         Quality and Productivity Bonuses

·         Comprehensive benefits package

·         Occurrence based malpractice

·         Relocation assistance
