Tami Carter jumped at the opportunity to further her learning through the Akron Children's Administrative Program. Advancing her technical skills and medical understanding, she felt better equipped to take on administrative roles in the health sector.
It was kind of nerve wracking because I had no prior education in the health field, but everyone was very patient and helpful to my needs. I'm getting better with some computer skills, and I have a great team of people I'm working with.

Tami is grateful to have the time and resources to improve her skillset and take on new roles. "It allowed me to take a step in the right direction. I never thought I would get to where I am now without the program. The key milestones were finishing the program, despite my schedule, as well as getting an interview with the department."
