How Brittany Buchwalter, A Career Launch Student, Puts Her Education And Career First

Meet Buchwalter, a Career Launch student studying respiratory care. Being a part of our Career Launch Program means Brittany gets the support she needs to return to school. That includes financial assistance with her education and plenty of opportunities to work toward a career in respiratory care.

"The program has benefited me because it provides the financial support for me to return to school and also the support from the staff. [It gives me] the ability to start making some of the connections with the people I'll be working with in just a couple short years."

Akron Children’s Career Launch Program is a workforce development program designed to kickstart a health care career. In addition to financial assistance, participants can access the mentorship and support needed to graduate. Our students build the skills to advance in career areas like cardiac sonography, nursing, and more.

I would absolutely recommend career launch to anyone who is interested in a career change in one of these fields. It has been a dream of mine to go back to school for respiratory care for several years now. And I'm not sure that I would be able to do that without career launch. It was a very easy decision to make, and I'm very grateful for the opportunity to pursue my dreams.
