Summary:
Reporting to the Administrative Director of Medical Education and the Medical Student Director the Medical Education Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of fourth year medical student rotations. Additionally, this position will report to the Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program Manager to assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of CME activities. Provides administrative support to the overall CME program.
Responsibilities:
1. Works collaboratively with program director(s) to provide strong customer service to medical students and hospital partners.
2. Processes student applications via VSLO (Visiting Student Learning Opportunities) for elective rotations, communicates requests to the appropriate division leaders.
3. Credentials and verifies student documentation required for participation in clinical rotations
4. Responsible for student onboarding including parking, badging, food allowance, scrubs, etc.
5. Assists the CME office with maintenance of accreditation documentation and program files, including all required forms.
6. Attends and supports CME committee meetings as well as other CME planning meetings
7. Assists with special projects as needed.
8. Maintains knowledge of CME/accreditation requirements and policies by attending state and national meetings.

Technical Expertise:
1. Experience in medical student and/or CME is preferred.
2. Excellent time management and organizational skills is required.
3. Able to manage several projects and adhere to deadlines.
4. Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Office 365 and web-based applications
5. Team player, willing to learn and take on new challenges
Education and Experience:
1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor's is preferred.
2. Certification: None required
3. Years of relevant experience: 3 to 5
4. Years of supervising experience: None
