Summary:

The Program Manager Pediatric Performance Improvement is responsible for leading and coordinating performance improvement initiatives across the primary care network and school health services. This role involves developing, implementing, and evaluating strategies to enhance clinical quality, patient safety, and operational efficiency in line with organizational goals and best practices.

Responsibilities:

  1. Quality Improvement Projects: Lead and manage performance improvement projects, including data collection, analysis, and reporting of clinical outcomes to identify areas for improvement in pediatric care.
  2. Data Management: Develop, maintain, and monitor quality metrics, dashboards, and performance reports to assess progress toward organizational goals, while aligning quality metrics.
  3. Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, social workers, and administrative staff, to implement best practices and evidence-based guidelines.
  4. Education and Training: Provide education, training, and support to staff on quality improvement methodologies, tools, and processes.
  5. Compliance: Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements, including those set by The Joint Commission, CMS, and other relevant bodies.
  6. Patient Safety: Coordinate and oversee patient safety initiatives, including incident reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
  7. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including families, to integrate patient and family-centered care perspectives into improvement efforts.
  8. Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting innovation, identifying best practices, and facilitating the dissemination of lessons learned across the organization.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

Technical Expertise

  1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Proficient in data analysis and quality improvement tools (e.g., PDSA cycles, Lean, Six Sigma).
  4. Ability to lead and facilitate multidisciplinary teams.
  5. Knowledge of healthcare regulations, standards, and accreditation requirements.

Education and Experience

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in healthcare quality improvement, patient safety, or a related field; pediatric experience preferred.
