Summary:
Position Summary: The Vice President of Nursing Services and Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) is a senior leadership role responsible for providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, and clinical excellence in nursing services. The ACNO collaborates with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and other health care leaders to develop and implement policies, programs and initiatives that ensure high quality, family-centered patient care. The ACNO is responsible for promoting quality improvement, staff development, operational efficiency, and a positive working environment within nursing across the enterprise.

· Collaborate with the CNO and executive leadership to establish and execute strategic goals and objectives for nursing services and patient care services which are aligned with the organization’s mission, vision and strategic priorities.
· Add value as a key member of management; understands the business, financials, industry, customers and strategy.
· Ensure that patient care is integrated across all settings of care and adheres to professional, regulatory and accreditation standards, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and evidence based care.
· Champion patient safety and quality initiatives to reduce patient safety risks and improve patient outcomes through continuous quality improvement efforts.
· Oversee nursing and patient care services, including management of department budgets and optimization of allocation of resources such as staffing, supplies, and equipment.
· Supervise staff, including hiring, evaluation, coaching and development and manages performance to achieve company goals and expectations.
· Lead workforce optimization initiatives for staff recruitment, retention, satisfaction, professional development and engagement.
· Promote innovative nursing practices and care delivery models, including the use of new technologies, clinical care models, and patient engagement strategies.
· Guide the change management processes, ensuring smooth transitions during organizational or policy changes.
· Foster a trusting and inclusive environment to support family-centered care for patients and families and a healthy work environment for staff.

Qualifications:
- Education:
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) required. Doctoral degree (DNP, PhD) in nursing preferred.
- MBA, MHA, or other related health care area in addition to MSN preferred
- Licensure & Certifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a current license in Ohio.
- Professional certification in nursing or healthcare leadership required, or obtained within 2 years of hire.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive nursing leadership experience
- Experience in managing large teams of staff and working a multi-disciplinary, matrixed healthcare environment
- Experience in a Magnet-designated organization preferred
- Experience in pediatrics preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to coordinate specified division services inter- and intra-hospital.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Deep understanding of clinical practices, healthcare trends, and nursing standards.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, resources, and staff effectively.
- Experience with quality improvement initiatives and patient safety protocols.
- Ability to lead change and innovation in healthcare settings.
