Monday - Friday Days, 7:30AM-4:00PM

Summary:

The Procurement & Supply Chain Information Services Supervisor is a key leader within the Supply Chain Department, supporting Akron Children's Hospital through collaboration, performance, and value-driven solutions. This role is responsible for managing the flow of information within a company's supply chain, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility to support decision-making. This involves managing information systems, analyzing data, and developing strategies to improve supply chain performance. The Supervisor also provides direct supervision to the Data Stewards & Buyers guiding data and systems support and procurement to supply chain strategies. The Supervisor collaborates to elevate Supply Chain through their range of responsibilities as follows:

Responsibilities:

1. Develops relationships and collaborates by communicating effectively with all levels and departments within the organization by managing and advising via data while seeking ways to improve and enhance quality and service including customer satisfaction.

2. Overseeing and managing the company's information systems related to the supply chain including enterprise resource planning, contract lifecycle management, warehouse management, transportation management systems, and other relevant software and interfaces.

3. Monitoring and evaluating supplier performance based on data and metrics and identifying areas for improvement and collaboration and supports supplier data feeds.

4. Analyzing supply chain data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement and preparing reports and dashboards to communicate core metrics and dashboards to key stakeholders.

5. Administration of the supply chain data lake for control tower decision-making including data analysis and forecasting tools for demand planning and par optimization to ensure inventory at minimal costs.

6. Identifying areas for improvement in processes by utilizing Lean principles for recommending solutions

7. Leads, trains, educates, mentors, and holds accountable assigned team to achieve defined core metric targets.

8. Identifies facility supply expense variances, leads monthly core metrics reporting and expense planning, and develops and implements strategies to reduce expenses and support financial stewardship.

9. Directly responsible to follow standards, policies, and procedures, for all aspects of order to cash and procurement activities including developing risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages.

10. Performs supplier management including but not limited to the oversight of vendor access and credentialing program, conducting regular supplier performance evaluations and risk assessments, facilitating supplier business reviews, and addressing any issues such as product backorders and recalls.

11. Other duties including participating on project teams as assigned.

Other information:

Technical Expertise

1. Proficiency in ERP and other relevant software and Lean principles required.

2. Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools preferred.

3. Advanced Excel skills including complex data manipulation and analysis with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop solutions to supply chain challenges.

4. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.

5. Advanced knowledge of the entire supply chain process from procurement to distribution.

6. Demonstrated knowledge of contract structures, terms, conditions, risk mitigation, and experience executing/drafting business requirements and key performance indicators in contracts

7. Proven expertise in project management and facilitating teams.

8. Experience in healthcare is preferred.

Education and Experience

1. Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited university or college or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain data and systems.

2. Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience leading projects in a collaborative team environment.

3. Professional certifications or credentials such as Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP) or Certified Value Analysis Health Professional (CVAHP) are preferred.
