Summary:
The Radiology Manager plans, organizes, and directs, in conjunction with the Radiology Medical Director and Administrative Director, the day-to-day operational activities of the Department.Responsibilities:
1. Adds value as a key member of management; understands the business, financials, industry, customers and strategy.
2. Supervises employees, provides direction, coaches, trains and develops, and manages performance to company goals and expectations.
3. Prepares, manages, and adheres to department budget to maintain expenditure controls.
4. Identifies, implements, and directs radiological technical needs of all imaging modalities to ensure technical quality and regulatory compliance.
5. Develops appropriate short- and long-term goals relating to technology, radiology informatics systems, and equipment.
6. Provides effective, professional leadership to supervisors, senior technologists, and/or staff.
7. Represents and/or coordinates activities of assigned areas within the department, hospital, and outside agencies and organizations.
8. Maintains all ODH regulatory/JCAHO, and standards of performance and professional conduct within assigned areas.
9. Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in imaging modality consistent with specific area of ARRT registry licensure.
10. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of age.
11. Other duties as required.
Other information:
Technical Expertise
1. Recent leadership experience in Diagnostic Imaging required.
2. Experience training, competency evaluation and technical assistance e/oversight.
3. Experience with supply/equipment procurement, budget and staff relations.
4. Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
5. Experience in healthcare is preferred.
6. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.
Education and Experience
1. Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred, or Associate's Degree in Related Field and minimum of 3 years of supervising experience required
2. Certification: Holds and maintains a certification from one (1) of the following issuing bodies: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
3. Years of relevant experience: Minimum 5 years is preferred.
4. Years of experience supervising: Minimum 3 years is preferred.
