Summary:

The Director Grants serves as liaison with Hospital Administrative staff in the development of Hospital projects that are priorities for the Foundation’s philanthropic fundraising efforts. Manages relationships with Grant funders and solicits gifts to meet fundraising goals.

Responsibilities:

Adds value as a key member of management; understands the business, financials, industry, customers and strategy.
Supervises employees, provides direction, coaches, trains and develops, and manages performance to company goals and expectations.
Prepares, manages, and adheres to department budget to maintain expenditure controls.
Seeks resources that improve the quality of a project/proposal by helping to shape project ideas, goals and objectives outcome-based evaluations, comprehensive budgeting, and planning for program sustainability.
Serves as liaison and solicitor with potential funding organizations.
Directs activities of Grants Administration Division of the Foundation including supervision of the grants gift officers.
Develops strategies to cultivate, solicit and steward current relationships between fund seeking and recipient organizations and funders.
Manages current Hospital grant funding including developing grant budgets.
Other duties as required.

Other information:

Technical Expertise

Experience in grant writing is required; experience working with government entities is preferred.
Experience in nonprofit programming development is preferred.
Travel and valid Ohio driver’s license is required.
Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
Experience in healthcare is preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. Raisers Edge software is preferred.
